Hanover Life
Located 12 miles north of the capital of Richmond, Hanover County offers a one-of-a-kind blend of rural and suburban living in a historic and uniquely friendly atmosphere. Known for its fine horses and lovely farms, this culturally rich community boasts a bevy of shops and casual dining restaurants. The town of Ashland—the only incorporated town in the county—is an authentic railroad town where trains still roll slowly past quaint Victorian homes, while just down the road Mechanicsville Turnpike offers the finest in modern shopping and dining choices. Home to Randolph-Macon College—the oldest Methodist college in the United States—Hanover also lays claim to the internationally renowned Hanover tomato!
