Independent Living
Covenant Woods is a convenient, comfortable and secure place of understated elegance. It is a place where you choose the lifestyle you prefer, while you and your family have the peace of mind that comes from planning for the future.
Here, many of life’s chores are taken care of for you, leaving you the time and energy to pursue your interests and devote to your passions. Whether it is art or photography, gardening or woodworking, reading, bridge, or time with your friends, the Covenant Woods community is active and friendly. There are multiple amenities including an elegant dining room, a complete library, plus transportation and housekeeping services. Most importantly, you have the peace of mind of knowing that if you ever need further assistance, it is available right here.
There are currently 104 apartments and 29 cottages for independent residents, two guest rooms, and a large community center.
To join the Covenant Woods community as a resident, you must be 62 years of age or have a spouse at least 62, possess income and resources sufficient to meet financial requirements, and be capable of living independently. Before moving to Covenant Woods, your physician will need to complete a medical questionnaire qualifying your independent health status. Be sure to consider Covenant Woods before health problems arise that might affect your ability to qualify. However, once a resident, you have the security of knowing that should your health status change, many levels of care are available right here to support your needs.
Cottage Living
Cottages are lovely brick two-bedroom or two-bedroom-with-a-den homes ranging from 1,705 square feet to 1,975 square feet. Each cottage is one floor with a garage; some have a two-car garage. Cottages include a foyer, breakfast room, two baths and covered patio, and some have a fireplace. The yards surrounding each cottage are maintained by Covenant Woods, but do provide space for those who enjoy a bit of gardening.
The kitchen invites you to cook should you choose, and includes residential-size appliances: stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and sink disposal. Many cabinets include pullout shelves for convenience.
The bathroom designs offer accessible comforts that also have safety and independence in mind. Linen storage adds convenience, as does the cottage’s washer and dryer.
Apartment Living
Apartments are lovely one-, two-bedroom or two-bedroom-with-a-den homes ranging from 770 square feet to 1,332 square feet. There are ten different apartment floor plans and each apartment is one floor with a foyer and full kitchen. Various designs offer breakfast rooms, one or two baths, second bedrooms, offices or dens, dining areas with separate living room or living/great room space, and covered patios or balconies.

Assisted Living
Assisted Living at Covenant Woods is designed for those individuals who are independent much of the time but may need assistance from time to time. Supportive staff is on duty around the clock to provide needed services and peace of mind.
When you can benefit from some help with your meals, housekeeping or personal care, then a private residential-style suite in Assisted Living may be the appropriate level of care to meet your needs. Each of these cozy suites features a bedroom, a living and dining area, and a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Suites are clustered in neighborhoods. At the hub of each neighborhood is a great room where residents may relax and watch television or enjoy the company of neighbors. Or they may take a stroll in one of the courtyard and garden areas. There are spaces for creative pastimes, exercise/ therapy and beauty/barber services as well.
Health Care
Whether you require a place to bounce back from surgery, or the comfort and security of long-term care, the Health Care Center at Covenant Woods offers inviting, light-filled rooms, many of which overlook one of our attractive courtyards. Most of the suites are private, while the companion rooms are an innovative staggered design that offers each person optimum privacy and a window view.
The Health Care Center at Covenant Woods provides licensed nursing care and 24-hour supervision. Residents receiving health care receive care varying with their needs, the highest level of which is total nursing bed care. Health Care Center residents may use any of the amenities available in the Covenant Woods community in addition to those specifically available for the benefit of the Center’s residents.
Additional amenities available to Health Care Center residents:

- Additional housekeeping, linen and laundry service
- Licensed nursing staff
- Medication administration by licensed nurse
- Assistance with dressing and personal care
- Recreation and therapy designed to meet individual needs

Memory Support
When Alzheimer’s or another illness impairs memory, there is comfort in having a safe, secure place in which to live. Grace Gardens at Covenant Woods offers a secure environment designed for those individuals who have dementia or other related diseases. Residents of Grace Gardens are provided all the assistance available in Assisted Living as well as additional recreational therapy and planned programming targeted to their unique needed.
The Grace Gardens suites are similar to those in our Assisted Living neighborhoods, while other environmental steps were taken to create a supportive atmosphere. An enclosed courtyard provides outdoor space for walks and gardening, and a glassed sunroom, and family-style dining and living rooms offer a home-like setting for sitting and chatting with friends.
Residents receive assistance as needed in dressing and personal hygiene as well as assistance in attending meals.
Housekeeping services and/or assistance is provided as needed. In Grace Gardens, a licensed nurse administers medication and there are scheduled therapeutic activities designed for the memory impaired. Grace Gardens has 24-hour nursing coverage and all direct care staff are trained specifically in caring for people who are memory impaired.
