A wide-open space at the entrance to Covenant Woods, the Meadow offers a variety of annuals – wildflowers, red clover, and more – that dot the landscape and keep the field colorful in the spring, summer, and fall.
The Meadow and surrounding grounds of Covenant Woods are therapeutically designed for older adults and are home to numerous bluebird nest boxes. Covenant Woods is designated as an official bluebird sanctuary by the Virginia Bluebird Society.
