THE RAYMOND T. HOLMES FUND | SENIOR EDUCATION AT COVENANT WOODS

The Raymond T. Holmes Fund for community education

Knowledge, education, and opportunities to socialize are vital components of successful aging and Covenant Woods is committed to making programming and services available both to Covenant Woods residents and to older adults in the surrounding area. Named for Raymond T. Holmes Jr., a longtime volunteer who was instrumental in moving The Richmond Home for Ladies to Hanover County, this fund has supported programs such as:

  • Presentations on topics of interest such as dementia care
  • “Finding Value in your Prime,” an active aging event connecting seniors to information and area resources
  • The Hanover County Spirit of Volunteerism Awards
  • Free concerts

Your gift to the Holmes Fund helps support these important programs.

“The events Covenant Woods sponsors for the surrounding community are so well received. People are always thankful for the valuable information and resources we share.”

— Melissa Flood, Resident Liaison
