Personalized care, delivered in private, with compassion.

One of the primary reasons residents choose Covenant Woods is access to high quality healthcare services, knowing it is available if needed. With more than 120 private suites and nursing services covered by Medicare, healthcare teams here offer skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and personalized care to assisted living and memory care residents as well as non-residents in need of care. Covenant Woods is a participating provider in Medicare, which covers our nursing services.

Residents also have access to Life Care, a predictable fee schedule that provides assurance of assisted living, memory care and other health care services should one’s needs change.

Life Care: A predictable cost of care for the rest of your life.

Independent living residents have access to Life Care, a predictable fee schedule that offers the assurance of assisted living, nursing, memory care and other long-term healthcare services.

For those residents who maintain long-term care insurance or choose not to select Life Care, fee-for-service plans are also available. In your research, you will find most residents of independent living communities choose a Life Care plan. Talk to your financial advisor and reach out to discuss Life Care options.

Manor East

The symbol of Covenant Woods’ commitment to lifelong care is Manor East, a dedicated, state-of-the-art healthcare wing that will complete a $34 million expansion in 2019. The new Manor East offers 39 assisted living suites, 21 memory support residences, and 62 nursing care rooms. All 120 rooms are private – an uncommon offering in Richmond area healthcare communities.

The expansion has added outdoor courtyards, additional common areas and living rooms, and smaller nooks for reading and one-on-one interactions. Seasonal rooms allow residents to remain indoors yet open large windows to let in the sun and feel the fresh Virginia air. Courtyards also feature poured rubber surfaces that give a softer step than concrete.

Manor East is secure yet accessible anytime by independent living and families, allowing people to visit family or friends receiving care.

Proximity to appointments and critical care

With a central location in greater Richmond, getting to your doctor’s appointments is a breeze. The community is also only a short distance from Hanover Memorial Regional Medical Center and the Level 1 Trauma Center at VCU Medical Center.
