In 2020, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) recognized Covenant Woods, a Life Plan Community located in Mechanicsville, with its third consecutive five-year accreditation.
As one of fifteen CARF-accredited retirement communities located in the state of Virginia, Covenant Woods takes pride in this accomplishment. Less than 10% of all Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) are CARF-accredited, making this honor the gold standard in the industry. CARF implements cost-effective management techniques, provides support through consultation and training, and gives guidance for responsible management and professional growth to all accredited organizations. Having been developed for over 50 years by service providers, policymakers, and family members, CARF has culminated a standard of the highest-quality care and continuous improvement.
Covenant Woods looks forward to serving seniors as a CARF-accredited organization for years to come.
